Personal Coaching for Entrepreneurs and Professionals

What is Personal Coaching?

Personal Coaching is a relationship which is designed and defined in a
relationship agreement between a client and a coach. It is based on the
client’s expressed interest goals and objectives.

Personal Coaching is a learning process. A personal Coach may use
inquiry, reflection, requests and discussion to help clients identify
personal and/or business and/or relationship goals, develop strategies,
relationships and action plans intended to achieve those goals. A coach
provides a place for clients to be held accountable to themselves by
monitoring the clients’ progress towards implementation of their action
plans. Together they evolve and modify the plan to best suit the
client’s needs and environmental relationships. A Personal Coach acts
as a human mirror for clients by sharing an outside and unbiased
perspective on what they are observing about their clients.

Clients are responsible for their own achievements and success, and
a coach cannot and does not promise that a client will take any
specific actions or attain specific goals.

Personal coaching is not counseling, therapy or consulting.
Coaching absolutely will not make decisions for you. It will not tell
you what is right or of value. But it will provide a safe and
supportive -- and sometimes challenging -- environment in which you can
make decisions, develop your own judgement, and come to know and
appreciate your own creative capacities even better. Metaphorically
speaking, I cannot give you a compass, but I can help you find your
own. And I am absolutely positive that everyone has one to find.

Why might you consider personal coaching?

One-on-one coaching can help you move your career in the directions
you would like it to go. Here are some issues you could be dealing with
that a personal coach can help you with:

  • A sense of lack of accomplishment
  • Frustration in you personal or professional life
  • Not feeling fulfilled on your job
  • General difficulties at work
  • Feeling overworked and stressed
  • Lacking a sense of career

Whatever the issue, a coach may be able to help.

What does a personal coach do?

Help you identify and focus on what you need to do. A personal coach can:

  • Add a new perspective
  • Move you in the right direction
  • Show you new possibilities
  • Suggest new ways of doing customary things
  • Provide regular coaching support
  • Teach you how to self-correct and change what you want to change
